The greatest evil is having the gospel and not doing everything within our power to get it to those who do not have it!
 ———–
When at least 35% of the world, “the unoccupied fields”, have no access to the gospel, we (believers) must all do all we can to reach them. We who are saved owe the gospel to every lost person, most especially the 2.4 billion who will not hear unless someone breaks into their “unoccupied field” with no thought of their own life!
 —————-
Sowing seeds of love and kindness should not be separated from preaching the gospel of sovereign grace but completely intertwined with it!
 —————-
I am sure that none of us will say when in heaven that we prayed too much, we sacrificed too much, proclaimed the gospel too much, and were too passionate to get the gospel to those who have little to no access to this gospel of grace. Let us together press on to make it our  ambition to preach the gospel where Christ has not been named!
—————
Our goal in our gospel witness is to take our eyes off the “risk” and place them on the cause for the risk. When God compels us like this he often will not tell us the risks…after all there are no risks for the all-knowing, all-powerful God. So let us be AMBITIOUS (Romans 15:20) to see that ALL are reached with the gospel of grace (Romans 1:16) in ALL places…there are no closed doors to the gospel, just some which are more difficult to go through!

Carol and I are now back in the States and had a blessed Christmas with our daughter Anna, son in-law Kenny and granddaughters Keira and Clara. Sadly, I came down with malaria two days before leaving but was able to take medicine right away and minimize the symptoms during travel.  Upon arriving at Kenny and Anna’s, 3 of us (Keira, Carol and I) suffered some respiratory troubles which brought some disappointment to the expectations of a joyful Christmas celebration together.  We are all gradually making our way back to health.  All in all, it has still been a joy to be together, to enjoy coffee and snuggles, laughs and stories and other good things–together!  We look forward to this coming week of having good health and time to make some memories with fun activities. This is the first stop of many in the coming two months.

Carol and I, as well as the Reaching Africa’s Unreached team, are grateful for all the prayers and support we lovingly receive from friends and churches. Because of God’s grace and his people we are able to walk out 2 Timothy 2:2, training leaders from our West Nile of Uganda as well as South Sudan and the Republic of (North) Sudan. We have access to the latter two groups because of their residing in our area as refugees.

With our 20 acre campus we are also have the opportunity to teach “Farming as a Business” to these same leaders and future leaders. This gives the leaders a means to make money for their families and to teach their church members to do the same. Our agricultural aspect of the ministry also has opened wide doors of opportunity to empower our local agrarian community as well as “adorning” our evangelism efforts

By God’s grace we purpose to press on in 2020 with these God given tasks. It is over 13 years ago years ago I came here to Afoji Moyo and South Sudan for ministry. We are on the ground and rub shoulders daily with the nationals with their culture. We are not “short term-ers.” It is our prayer that the Lord would grace Carol and me with some more decades on this earth and in useful service at RAU and that Reaching Africa’s Unreached would walk out 2 Timothy 2:2 from generation to generation.
We know that many good organizations and causes make appeals at this time of year just as we make ours. May God give each of you wisdom. The task of reaching the roughly 2.8 billion of the world who have little to no access to the gospel is huge BUT we serve a great God. Let us all, as followers of Christ, live sacrificially so these 2.8 billion will be reached and taught all things which Christ has commanded!
The video below gives you a walk through the campus of Reaching Africa’s Unreached. It will be easy for you to see that it is not a professional video. It is just me pouring out my heart.

Some Video Updates

Merry Christmas from Reaching Africa’s Unreached Family
We are making our way back to the States for a visit now. Please pray for us in all our travels. Our first stop is in Stephenville,Texas,  with our daughter Anna and her husband Kenny and granddaughters Keira and Clara. After some precious days there with them and our wonderful Rocky Point Baptist friends we head on to Colorado Springs to our son Joshua/ Rebecca and grandchildren Eliza,Ben,Vera,Nora, and Olivia. Then, we move on to Chattanooga to our son Josiah and daughter in law, Unyae. You may remember our first stop last year was to  Chattanooga for their wedding. After that we have one more family visit to Iowa to see my parents (who are both in their 90’s) and as many other family members as possible. We pray the Lord will bless this time with family and we can making lasting memories, most especially with the grandchildren. From there we are off to visit some of supporting churches and dear friends.
MAF now flies into and out of Moyo any weekday if booked in advance. It makes travel to Moyo much, much easier!  I asked the MAF pilot if he would loop back around so we could see RAU from the air and he did. Here is the video Carol took from the plane. The place has, by God’s grace and his people, been transformed! The aerial view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP6jsrqj3ZA.  It was easy to identify the RAU campus from the air because the surrounding land is bush.  The Eucalyptus trees provide a very clear perimeter from the air and the neat rows of mangoes and bananas is quite impressive, not to mention all the red roofs!  We had told our coworkers that we might be flying over and they were all out there on the driveway, waiting to see us fly over.  We could see them well but they don’t show up well in the video.
Here is a video of a recent drive to Oyo Community Church in the Metu Mountains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H1dkvVUdsE.  It paints a clear picture of the challenges of reaching certain remote areas
Then, we also posted a  video of a walk through of the RAU campus which gives a ground view of RAU’s 20 acres:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhHZbxJn0Z4. It’s a bit long, but I believe it gives you the best comprehensive view of all the different projects that are happening, from building to gardening and most importantly our seeking to walk out 2 Timothy 2:2.  It really is amazing to look back (picture history here) at early pictures of the land before any big changes and now to see how far the work has come.  It’s a blessing to see the Lord’s hand in all that has been accomplished.
.
Time has been a constraining factor in getting out another detailed newsletter with pictures.  However, while in the USA, we hope to write a “Year in Review” article with pictures so we can properly give glory to God’s grace and His love through all of you who support what we do.  May God bless you as you celebrate the birth of hope in the birth of Christ this Christmas season!  A blessed Christmas and New Year to all of you, our beloved family and friends.
Thank you for your precious prayers and gifts of support. By God’s grace given through you the gospel is being proclaimed through us and co-workers in Uganda, South Sudan and the Republic of (North) Sudan. With your prayers and support we will press on in 2020  on our “end of the rope” which you are holding.
God is GOOD and He is GOOD all the time!

Thank you and God Bless you,

Jacob and Carol Lee
