Carol and I pray you and your families are well. We are very grateful for all your prayers and support for us and the ministry of Reaching Africa’s Unreached. When I think of you, 2 Corinthians 1:11 often comes to mind:
You also must help us by prayerso that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.” (Emphasis mine)
On Thursday and Friday we had the joy of hosting Joshua Abraham and Absalah Kori again. Joshua is originally from Darfur, Sudan and Absalah is actively involved in ministering in the Nuba Mountains, Sudan. You may remember hearing about them from a previous newsletter. They are dear brothers whom I love and respect. They have a burning zeal to take the gospel back to their homeland and tribes which are nearly 100% Muslim. They currently live in the nearby refugee resettlement camps and have been to RAU for a number of trainings over the years. Friday morning they set off with 192 ESV Global Study Bibles which will be making their way to the Republic of Sudan.  The intent is to put them into the hands of pastors in the Nuba Mountains and the capitol, Khartoum. By God’s grace previously  we have also been able to send ESV Global Study Bibles, ASB Arabic Study Bibles,Kindle Fires with the “Jesus” film/Christian books and numerous Christian books and gospel tracts both in English and Arabic into the Blue Nile and Darfur States.

Below is a short video which was made Friday morning before loading the Bibles.  The video is only two and half minutes long. Pray for the journey of these bibles and for our  Sudanese brothers and sisters in Christ. Our supply of Study Bibles here at Reaching Africa’s Unreached is getting low. I like the ESV Global Study Bible, ASB Arabic Study Bible. Currently I am reading and appreciating the CSB Study Bible. It is appearing to me the CSB Study Bible English would be easier for understanding for those whose English is not their first language.

After seeing the effect in strengthening pastors in our geographic region (and, thus, the whole Body of Christ) I am compelled to begin thinking and praying about getting more resources here in another container filled primarily with more study Bibles and solid Christian books. Please consider how you might be a part of making it happen!

This is where our two previous containers have been set. The one on the left is used for literature and the one on the right is where our agricultural products are kept. In the middle is where we keep equipment. A third container could be set on the right with the roof extended over it.
On the 11th, I travel to Yumbe with RAU co-worker, Henry, where met with Yumbe facilitator, Charles, as well as Finnish missionary, Perti Soderlund. Perti and wife Heidi live in Kampala and minister throughout Uganda. They have been missionaries all their lives in East Africa and we have become good friends. They, too, have heart to see Jesus glorified among the Yumbe Aringa’s which is consider an unreached people group. We had an opportunity to reconnect with some Sheikhs and Imams who have become friends over the years. Our focus has needed to shift to meeting with them one on one or in small groups instead of a group dialog settings. I am praying that at some time in the future we will be able to resume the dialogs with them. Pray for the Aringa tribe that Christ be exalted in their midst.

“Don’t let the sands of time get into the eye of your vision to reach those who sit in darkness. They simply must hear.” (Jim Elliot)…”Our only hope in missions and evangelism is that Jesus reigns over the human will and can open blind eyes as he wills.” (John Piper)….”I shall hold myself in readiness to go anywhere, provided it be forward.” (David Livingstone)

Thank you to the MANY who through prayer, financial partnership, encouragement, physical presence and loving gifts are very much a part of RAU.  We could not do what we do without your action.  We are, as we have often said, a conduit of the grace of God flowing through you to the precious ones He means to bless and strengthen and equip for great and mighty things.

Pray for safety and strength and endurance and health.  Pray the fruit that lasts would be produced in our lives and in the lives of those we love and serve.

Thank you and God Bless you,

Jacob and Carol Lee

The greatest evil is having the gospel and not doing everything within our power to get it to those who do not have it!
 ———–
When at least 35% of the world, “the unoccupied fields”, have no access to the gospel, we (believers) must all do all we can to reach them. We who are saved owe the gospel to every lost person, most especially the 2.4 billion who will not hear unless someone breaks into their “unoccupied field” with no thought of their own life!
 —————-
Sowing seeds of love and kindness should not be separated from preaching the gospel of sovereign grace but completely intertwined with it!
 —————-
I am sure that none of us will say when in heaven that we prayed too much, we sacrificed too much, proclaimed the gospel too much, and were too passionate to get the gospel to those who have little to no access to this gospel of grace. Let us together press on to make it our  ambition to preach the gospel where Christ has not been named!
—————
Our goal in our gospel witness is to take our eyes off the “risk” and place them on the cause for the risk. When God compels us like this he often will not tell us the risks…after all there are no risks for the all-knowing, all-powerful God. So let us be AMBITIOUS (Romans 15:20) to see that ALL are reached with the gospel of grace (Romans 1:16) in ALL places…there are no closed doors to the gospel, just some which are more difficult to go through!
