April 14, 2026 Update-Funding Complete!

Great news! I’m excited to share an update about our mission to deliver Africa Study Bibles (ASB) to RAU. We received our first shipment of 6,100 ASBs! The second shipment of 10,520 ASBs needed $82,685 in funding. Thanks to our generous donors, the remaining balance is now $0!!!! Praise God and thank you to everyone who has contributed to getting these 10,520 ASBs to Reaching Africa’s Unreached. They are currently being printed and will be shipped as soon as printing is complete!

Great news from our end! I’m thrilled to share an update about our determined mission to deliver Africa Study Bibles (ASB) to RAU. As may know, we’ve received our first shipment of 6,100 ASBs! February 6, 2025 Update

The long-awaited first installment of over 6,100 of the Africa Study Bibles has finally arrived, and our hearts are overflowing with joy! We give all praise to God for this remarkable milestone! To date, we’ve raised an astounding $200,000. Our generous supporters through Oasis International, the publisher, have blessed us with $50,000, and the incredible donors from ChristianBook International Outreach have matched that gift with another $50,000, while RAU, through its beloved donors, has stepped in with an extraordinary $100,000! How would you like to help get Africa Study Bibles to Reaching Africa’s Unreached ?

I have had the pleasure of engaging in numerous thought-provoking discussions with my dear friend Craig Stoll, who leads the dedicated team at Christianbook International Outreach (CIO). Our exchanges concerning the Africa Study Bible and Christian books for church in our part of the world have been both inspiring and enlightening.

I am excited and truly believe, inspired by the Lord, to bring two containers of Africa Study Bibles (ASB) to RAU for distribution in West Nile Uganda, South Sudan, and the Republic of Sudan. These Bibles will primarily support our leaders, empowering them to foster a remarkable growth in maturity within the church. Our region of Africa is home to some of the fastest-growing churches in the world, and I am filled with hope for the positive impact this will bring!

Those of you who have been following Carol’s and my posts know that we are fervently expanding our ability to be a resource center for Bibles and Christian books. Our vision is not just about pouring Bibles into hands; we aspire to forge a transformative network that champions leaders, offers continual training, and cultivates an environment of relentless learning and growth. The significance of distributing these Study Bibles and invaluable resources transcends mere logistics – it instills in leaders a profound empowerment to explore the depths of the Word, equipping them to shepherd and nurture their congregations in truly transformative ways. Through this passionate pursuit, we endeavor to ignite a ripple effect that extends beyond our immediate community, touching the hearts and minds of future generations, thus contributing to the enduring growth and flourishing of the church in our region, ultimately changing the lives of countless individuals. Our collaboration with like-minded organizations and individuals who share our fervor is essential for realizing this ambitious vision, and we are immensely thankful for the unwavering support and encouragement we have been blessed with throughout this journey.

Current progress on increasing RAU’s resource center from two containers to four containers

Carol and I are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this noble cause, and with the support of local churches and kind-hearted Jesus loving individuals/families, we are confident that we will succeed in bringing  Africa Study Bible to our Ugandan and Sudanese brothers and sisters in Christ.

The Africa Study Bible has truly become my beloved guide for personal reflection and our future ministry, rich with comprehensive and culturally resonant insights that breathe life into the Word. In our community, most individuals possess a familiarity with the English language, thanks to the widespread English-medium education. Yet, we must acknowledge that for many, English is merely a second, third, or even fourth language. Given this vibrant linguistic tapestry, the clarity and accessibility of the New Living Translation (NLT) version shine exceptionally bright, making it an ideal companion for our remarkable Ugandan and Sudanese brothers and sisters. The Anglicized English of the NLT version, with its British nuances, reflects their everyday conversations and cultural intricacies, facilitating a profound understanding and connection to biblical teachings. In RAU’s region, English stands much like Greek did in the powerful era of the Apostle Paul!
